Our Aus-Tone Tube Amp Kits are FULL DIY projects designed for intermediate to advanced builders, or when you have a mentor with years of experience to help you. Plan for a week of weeknights after work, or a full 18-hour weekend. A Multimeter and common electronic hand tools are required.
 
You do everything:
Nail and glue the pre-cut wooden pieces into a cabinet
(Rounding the corners and staining the cabinet is optional)
Stretch and install the grill cloth
Solder all the components to the terminal board
Wire all the tube sockets
Install the 10" speaker, the Tubes, and the chassis into the cabinet
 
Before you apply wall power, you will:
Use your multimeter to verify your wiring against a checklist
Verify the power circuit at low-voltage with our included "LVA" Low Voltage Adapter*
 
*NOTE: If you order the LVA by itself, it can only be used on circuits with a "solid state" diode or bridge rectifier. The LVA does not work in tube circuits with tube rectifiers (5AR4, GZ34, 5Y3, etc.)
